Congratulations G! Today, state was like a mud run. You had Hornet Grit and ran a great race. Thank you Coach Adams for all you do for our kids
From Coach Adams:
G did amazing at state! He finished 33rd overall, 10th as an individual, and ran a 18:47 5K. He finished 22 spots below where he was seated, ran a 31 second personal record, finished first for the Little River Conference! It was a memorable and great year!
We also had great show out and are thankful for all the support and love shown to our runners!

Today, our 5-12 students participated in a special program called the Journey of Hope. This program will travel to all 77 counties in Oklahoma. It has been 30 years since the Oklahoma City bombing.
Macomb Schools and the 21st Century After School Program partnered with the Memorial as the only community in Oklahoma to build a Peace Garden. The Forestry Service told the story of how seeds from the American Elm were collected the year after the bombing. Macomb was presented a seedling tree at the first dedication of the Peace Garden.
We are grateful that some special guests were in attendance. A young man spoke who lost his mom in the bombing. He encouraged our kids to continue the Oklahoma Standard.
Shout out to our FFA officers for contributing to the program. Also, special thanks to the Forestry Service for their continued support.

Jr High XCountry kids finish a successful season.
From Coach Adams:
Junior High All-Stars next
Our sisters had a FANTASTIC day out at Junior High All-Stars. In the toughest field we have seen, both ran excellent races with amazing times. Both sisters ran P.Rs and set the new school records for their respected age groups for our school. They went out and competed hard!!!

Congratulations to our XCountry runners. They have had a great season.
From Coach Adams:
Regionals
Regionals went AMAZING!!! All 3 runners placed minimum 8 spots above their seeding, all of them had P.R's, and looked the best we have all season. We also have a state qualifier who also has a medal! Thank you all for the support. It's been a long season, but it has been a good one. It is very slow build and we have a long way to go, but we are building a program!
