This year's track season is now (basically) closed. We had another awesome season! As always, things could go better, and I still have learning to do in multiple areas, but the kids and my coworkers are steady with me. And it's worth it, because they pour their heart and soul into getting better. These Hornets rock!!! Here are our highlights, broken down by group (sorry for such a long post).
5/6: 13 new or tied new-era school records, 28 medal and are waiting to see a few more. 43 top 10 finishes, each runner/thrower P.R-ed twice+
Junior High: 42 Top 10 finishes, 7 medals, 20 new-era school records, each runner/thrower P.R-ed once+
High School: 4 medals, 13 new-era school records, 24 top 10 finishes, each runner thrower has P.R-ed in 1+ event
It's been a great season with great kids. As we continue building this program, my thanks goes to all the parents, staff, and friends who cheer these kids on. God is good!
We are now off to regionals hoping for a medal or two for H.S and maybe even a state nod. Wish us luck!
Buses will run today. We are adjusting routes based on road closures or trouble areas. Please give us time on drop off to allow for adjustments.

We will have school tomorrow. No buses will run for morning routes. We will assess the roads once the water recedes to determine if it is safe to run them for the afternoon. We will keep you informed.

$1 to get in. There will be a concession with ice cream!
Field Day has been cancelled for tomorrow, we will do it Thursday beginning at 9:00 am. May want to send kids with different clothes as they may get wet.
We are continuing to watch the weather. Our Macomb Field Day is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, April 29th. If it rains, we will reschedule for a dry day. We are also planning our annual Staff/Student Basketball game. It is planned for 1:00 tomorrow and will go on.....RAIN or SHINE!!! Concessions will be available. The concession will have soda, Gatorade, candy, nachos, pretzels....until we run out. PLUS, we will serve ice cream in a cup or a cone. The cost to attend is $1. Come and cheer on the HORNETS!!!
